Woman is plural. Beyond her womb (which potentially can nurture life), she carries a multiple burden.. She is often led to combine in my daily life the multiple facets of «mother», «partner», «caring», «lover», «working woman», «daughter of», «friend».
Without making a generalisation, a tendency for women is to lock themselves into service to others (romantic partner, children, etc.), forgetting their own desires. Women have become so used to living from their heart and emotions that they have repressed their sexual energy. This tendency can be found in sexuality (with a possible drop in desire), and also on other levels (forgetting oneself for the other, pleasing people, etc.).

Furthermore, it's quite a journey as a woman to no longer be considered by men as an object of desire and pleasure. The challenge is to (re)connect with one's needs, desires, permissions and limits, to dare to speak out, to push through the fear of rejection or abandonment, in order to (re)connect with one's inner power.
